Unknown -- Our Classic Reaction To Being Unseen, In A Nutshell
*** the name of this post's writer was unknown from July 12, 2018 to the present ***
On a very deep level, we depend on one another to exist as individuals. Rozaya is no exception to this, and she, like everyone else who is aware of this fact, will openly admit it when asked about the subject.
Depending upon one another to exist as individuals does not mean that we are all one single mind, soul, or being. It simply means we are connected very, very closely.
To refer to us all by one of our names, regardless of who the name in question is supposed to be referring to, shows a failing on the part of the person talking to, or about, us, to see that we are all individuals. Once or twice or three times is understandable, but when it’s done over and over and over and over again, it shows that the person who’s talking about us in that way truly doesn’t get it, and, perhaps, doesn’t want to get it.
We’ve already gone through that with the name Maria, a name that’s only attached to a three-month-old who hasn’t come out in 18 years. We were hoping that this same situation wouldn’t come up with Rozaya, but it has, at least with those of the outside who know of her at all.
We are not Rozaya, that much will remain abundantly clear through the course of our posts. There was once a time when I believed myself to be a part of her, the part of her who fought for recognition of the rest of us as individuals. Now I see the truth, that I still fight in this way, but now as myself. My name will come later, I’m sure. For now, I’m perfectly content continuing to do what I’m doing, and I will not stop, I will not rest, until everyone here is given the recognition they deserve, and desire. That is my place, and I’m glad to have it.
